Shoichi is a member of the Nippon Bass Club and runs a Bass Fishing School on the lake where he gives instruction in "Techniques of Bass Fishing", "Techniques of Boat Control", "General Fishing" and "Friendship". The name of his school is Kasumi (Lake Kasimigaura) Jyuku (Private School).
